Are are welcome to join the Duke Lutherans this Thursday night, November 16, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Der Nachbar (4916 Hillsborough Rd) as we explore how social media impacts our faith.
A few questions we'll be considering...
In what ways do you think social media can be a source of support and benefit to our faith and to communities of faith? When have you experienced social media as a means for meaningful connection, education in issues of faith and life, peace, hope, or justice?
Alternatively, in what ways do you think social media negatively impacts our faith and communities of faith? When is social media a source of harm, polarization, or anxiety? What limits, if any, should be put on the platforms we use? When is posting online true advocacy and when is just performative.
