Embrace Grace

Embrace Grace helps women and men experiencing unplanned pregnancies find a place of belonging within the church through support groups.

We help women walking through the unsteady season of an unexpected pregnancy — women navigating single motherhood and young men embarking on a new journey of fatherhood by connecting them to judgment-free support groups in churches across the world.

Officially launched in 2012, Embrace Grace, Inc. equips churches on how to love and support the single and pregnant your women in their communities.

The church has a powerful opportunity to be a catalyst of change in a woman’s life as wells broaden their community outreach to help moms be brave.

Grace House

At Grace House we provide provide free and accessible short-term housing for family members of patients in cooperation with the Host Homes program of Duke Health Concierge Service. The congregation is committed to providing additional service to family members as needed.

The Grace House is a two-story historic home in Trinity Park, adjacent to Grace Lutheran Church. The home is across the street from Duke's East Campus, allowing transportation through the Duke University bus system.

Grace House provides housing for one family upstairs. The lower floor is currently used primarily for meetings and the Sunday education hour.

The first guests moved into the Grace House in September of 2006. Guests are included in our prayer ministry.
Growing Thru Grief

This group provides year-round grief care and support to those who mourn,
-
Meetings include fellowship, teachings on various aspects of grief, and small group discussions led by facilitators trained by Duke Hospice Bereavement Services. ​

This is an open program; anyone can join at any time. Growing thru Grief is sponsored by. a coalition of 15 churches and other organizations. Meetings are held weekly via Zoom.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

Stephen Ministers are also trained in Eucharistic Ministry, delivering Holy. Communion to those who are unable to attend church.
